Ownership Transfers to Long Term Employees

MANCHESTER – Business Transition Strategies, a division of New Hampshire Business Sales is pleased to announce the acquisition of Surplus Office Equipment, by Jeff Gagnon the owner of Office Alternatives, LLC.

Mr. Gagnon is a 15 year employee of Surplus Office Equipment. The management buyout transition between former owner Gagne and his employee was coordinated by BTS, which works with business owners across the state to accomplish their goals.

The transaction, finalized March 9, keeps the company in familiar hands while preserving jobs and maintaining the long term business relationships that have contributed to the company’s success.

Surplus Office Equipment, a 27 year old company, is Northern New England’s largest pre-owned office furniture dealer, and is poised for further growth in its new location at 186 Commercial Street, in the heart of downtown, with an additional location in Nashua.

The acquisition was funded by Centrix Bank and the financing was coordinated by Kevin Finke.

What our clients are saying...

“I retained Business Transition Strategies to handle the sale of my company, which manufactures machined parts for a diversity of sectors. The entire process went smoothly and professionally. The BTS team kept me fully informed at every step. They worked hard and were effective in bringing the deal home. Their data room system, with a lot of information loaded in advance, saved time during due diligence. I would recommend John Howe, director, and Ken Schaefer, deputy director and the entire BTS team to any private company considering selling.”
